Spain - Espana
Finally breaking through, the Spanish squad won the World Cup in South Africa. After an ugly start to the tournament, Spain went on a tear. They have a tough draw in Euro 2012, but they'll look to continue their winning ways.
Australia
Australia came into the World Cup as FIFA's top ranked team from Asia ranked #21. The Socceroos had some experience, but fell in the knock out round, facing some tough squads, including Germany.
Argentina
With talent like Lionel Messi, Carlos Tevez and Sergio Aguero, Argentina had high hopes for the World Cup in South Africa. Diego Maradona showed some decent coaching, but the Argentines lost in the quarters, handily, to Germany.
Brazil - Brasil
How could anyone have been confident in Group G? Brazil made it out and Kaka and Lius Fabiano impressed, but Brazil disappointed, losing in the quarters to the Dutch.
Italy - Italia
Italy comes to South Africa looking to defend its World Cup soccer championship. The team looks a little older, but still has plenty of talent. With one of the world's top goalkeepers, Gianluigi Buffon, Italy definitely could be playing for a repeat title.
England
One had the sense that the pressure was on England. After some sketchy goaltending against the Americans, England made it out of the group, but lost in the round of 16 to Germany.
